Help for Families
ACF
ACF provides states with block grants to design and operate programs to meet Temporary Assistance for Needy Families.
Find programs that offer a number of ways to get help with paying bills. Assistance is available for everything from debts to energy costs, free food, housing, and much more. Resources available that may help with these payments include:

Food Assistance
TEFAP
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is a Federal program that helps supplement the diets of low-income Americans, including elderly people, by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost. It provides food and administrative funds to States to supplement the diets of these groups.
Feeding America's nationwide network of food banks secures and distributes 4 billion meals each year through food pantries and meal programs throughout the United States and leads the nation to engage in the fight against hunger.
